Marisa McClellan, author of “Food in Jars” is back this month to show us how to preserve summer’s abundance of tomatoes. Marisa will give you step-by-step instructions such as choosing and prepping the tomatoes, how to prepare your jars and lids, how to process and finally store your canned tomatoes. It’s easier than you may think and so rewarding!
Marisa McClellan is a full-time writer, teacher, and blogger at Food in Jars. She is the author of Food in Jars: Preserving in Small Batches Year-Round (Running Press 2012). Her writing appears regularly on The Food Network, Saveur’s website, Table Matters, and in Food 52′s Small Batch series. Born in Los Angeles and raised in Portland, Oregon, she now lives in Philadelphia with her husband, Scott.
